AML/CTF in Superannuation Virtual Workshop – 20 August 2026

About this event

Australia’s AML/CTF framework places important obligations on organisations to understand financial crime risks, maintain effective controls and respond appropriately to suspicious activity. For superannuation professionals, building practical awareness of how these obligations apply in a fund environment is essential to protecting members and supporting strong compliance outcomes.

Join Kate Crawford, Learning and Development Specialist, ASFA, for a practical virtual workshop designed for staff who need a clear understanding of AML/CTF concepts, superannuation-specific risks, red flags, customer due diligence, controls and escalation expectations.

This 1.5-hour session provides foundational AML/CTF awareness and superannuation context. It covers money laundering, terrorism financing and proliferation financing; why superannuation is an at-risk sector; AML/CTF program requirements; customer due diligence; suspicious activity indicators and responses; and key reporting obligations. Participants will also receive access to an ASFA online course after the workshop to reinforce their learning and complete a multiple-choice quiz. The workshop provides 1 CPD point.
