
ASFA has been provided with independent legal advice from the leading national law firm MinterEllison on the question of whether or not carbon offsets purchased in relation to Scope 1 emissions within superannuation funds’ trustee offices are subject to the BFID, under section 52 of the Superannuation Industry Supervision Act 1993 (Cth)(the SIS Act).
