ASFA Life Membership is the highest individual honour awarded by ASFA
ASFA Life Membership recognises individuals who have made a deep, sustained, and influential contribution to both the superannuation industry and the work of ASFA over many years.
Each year, with the support of our members, we celebrate one or more individuals whose leadership, commitment and service has left a lasting mark on our sector.

Andrea Cooper was recognised at the 2024 ASFA Conference for her significant contribution to the industry and longstanding support of ASFA.
What does ASFA Life Membership include?
Life Membership includes:
- Official recognition at the ASFA Conference
- Life Member certificate
- Ongoing listing in ASFA’s Annual Report and website
- Complimentary individual ASFA membership
- Complimentary registration to the ASFA Conference, including networking events for the Life Member and their partner
- Guest invitations to ASFA’s annual Budget Briefing events held in their home state
Nomination criteria
Nominees will be considered based on two or more of the following:
- Accreditation as an ASFA Fellow
- Longstanding engagement with ASFA committees, working groups or governance
- Significant contribution to the superannuation sector through leadership, impact or influence
