ASFA backs HESTA 40:40 Vision campaign to correct ASX 200 gender imbalance

The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) has thrown its support behind HESTA’s 40:40 Vision campaign and called on the superannuation industry to join this important initiative.

“ASFA commends HESTA and encourages all super funds to sign up to the 40:40 Vision campaign and commit to addressing the current gender imbalance in senior leadership in corporate Australia,” said ASFA CEO, Dr Martin Fahy.

HESTA’s 40:40 Vision campaign’s target is to have women fill a minimum 40 per cent of ASX200 C-suite roles by 2030.

“The next ten years will see a shift to a more knowledge-intensive economy. If Australia is to achieve its full potential and compete internationally, we cannot afford to continue to ignore the contribution of talented senior women executives,” Dr Fahy concluded.
