ASFA Governance

ASFA has been operating since 1962 and is the peak policy, research and advocacy body for Australia’s superannuation industry.

Overview

The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia is a not for profit, public, unlisted Company limited by guarantee. ASFA is a member-based organisation, governed by a Constitution and a Board of Directors.

The Board has an Independent Chair and 10 Directors, elected from and by the various membership categories of ASFA (excluding individual members). The Board has four standing committees: Policy, Finance and Risk, HR and Remuneration and Member Services.

ASFA ensures it has effective governance by allowing all categories of ASFA members an opportunity to contribute through its various committees, councils and panels.
