ASFA webinar: Cyber Incident Response – SC3 and the National Framework

About this event

ASFA will be hosting a joint webinar with the National Office of Cyber Security (NOCS) on the coordination of cyber incidents between the government and the sector. The session will cover:

  • NOCS’ role within the national cyber security framework
  • how agencies work with industry and each other during an incident
  • the key information sharing protections provided under the Cyber Security Act 2024
  • an overview of how the SC3 Framework supports a more coordinated, system-wide preparedness across the superannuation sector

About the National Office of Cyber Security (NOCS)

The National Office of Cyber Security (NOCS) operates within the Department of Home Affairs and was established to strengthen Australia’s ability to prevent, detect, respond to, and recover from cyber incidents. It works alongside operational agencies such as the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) and its public-facing arm, the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC).

Its role is primarily strategic and coordinating, rather than hands‑on technical incident response. The NOCS works collaboratively to coordinate consequence management efforts in response to a cyber security incident.
