Ian has been involved in the superannuation industry for about 30 years. He is an actuary and has been Head of Research then General Manager at Chant West for the past 20 years. He is responsible for leading the Chant West team and continues to hold responsibility for coordinating Chant West’s research program for super and pension funds, covering investments, insurance, fees and how funds help members get the most from their super through their engagement.
Ian has been actively involved in a number of regulatory initiatives covering fee and insurance disclosure, and performance measurement and assessment.
