However, by not focusing on transformation now, SHAUN MCKENNA says funds may find themselves a long way behind later. Here he looks at the top ten trends over the next 12 months.
For Australia’s superannuation funds in 2019 the need for change has never been clearer given the rapid shifts in regulatory requirements, member needs and preferences, competition and technology. And now the need to restore public trust can also be added to that list.
With such a rapid pace of change, some funds may take a wait and see approach – holding course until there is more clarity on regulatory changes. However, funds that are not focused on transformation now will find themselves a long way behind later…
