Head – Funded Distribution, Asian Development Bank
Tarang is the Head of Funded Distribution, part of the Guarantees and Syndication Unit (GSU) within the Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and is based in Singapore. He leads the banks commercial “funded” co-financing efforts. Catalyzing and mobilizing both private and public capital, for development, is a core pillar of ADB’s strategy.
Mr Tarang Khimasia is a national of United Kingdom. He completed his degree in Management Sciences & Finance from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), United Kingdom in 1997. Mr. Khimasia has 25 years of professional investment and development banking experience and joined the ADB in August 2016.
Prior to joining the ADB he has spent 6 years with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) based in Singapore and Dubai. Before this he spent 12 years with Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (a boutique investment bank) based in London. Mr Khimasia’s career has spanned various capacities, leading teams across the entire debt advisory spectrum. Over the years Mr Khimasia has focused on the origination, structuring and syndication of project and acquisition loans, structuring and trading bespoke private financing solutions in the private & illiquid credit space, headed a European corporate and FI bond syndicate desk, debt repackaging, illiquid debt monetisation, strategic loan portfolio disposals via restructuring units (bad banks) and single asset securitisations.
