ASFA welcomes new Treasury team

The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) congratulates Josh Frydenberg on his re-appointment as Treasurer, and looks forward to working with the newly appointed Michael Sukkar as Assistant Treasurer and Jane Hume as Assistant Minister for Superannuation, Financial Services and Financial Technology.

The team is well-versed and in a strong position to deliver effective policy with robust economic outcomes for superannuation and financial services.

This is especially important at a time when the Government is moving to implement significant reform to superannuation including: the bi-partisan commitment to increase superannuation to 12%; the Protecting Your Super package; the recommendations of the Royal Commission and other pre-election commitments.

We also recognise the contribution of former Assistant Treasurer Stuart Robert and congratulate him on his elevation to the Cabinet as Minister for National Disability Insurance Scheme, Minister for Government Services.
