The VIC Innovation Discussion Group focusses on innovation and disruption with a particular emphasis on emerging technologies which will have a significant impact on the industry.
Topics for discussion include cyber security in an increasingly digital world, potential impacts and opportunities as a result of the Productivity Commission review of superannuation, customer experience and advice (tools and implementation experiences), emerging technologies such as NPP, Blockchain, Single Touch Payroll, as well as business and IT transformation.
The Innovation Discussion Group aims to assist funds implement best-practice technology and innovation, with a focus on meeting the business needs of funds and the best interests of members, in a timely and cost-effective manner and in line with regulatory expectations. It will allow attendees to share ideas and implementation techniques to enable the efficiency of the funds and the industry as a whole to improve.

Ash is an experienced executive level business strategist and technology consultant with a background in solution architecture, software engineering and programming. He has wide ranging experience in designing and building cloud based systems and processes and has been providing project planning and implementation services in this area for over 15 years. He has applied these core skills regularly in order to deliver a number of successful large scale transformational technology programs.
Prior to establishing Novigi, he worked as an executive partner at Rice Warner, to lead the establishment and growth of a very successful Financial Technology practice. This role required Ash to draw on a wide range of skills in order to oversee product design, market development and service delivery activities.
