The Innovation Discussion Group focuses on transformation and innovation within the superannuation industry, with a particular emphasis on how this can be leveraged through the implementation of emerging techniques & technologies.
Topics for discussion include accessing new administration models, customer experience and member engagement, product innovation, cyber security in an increasingly digital world, trends in the insurance and investment spaces and emerging technologies such as blockchain, open banking, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
The primary aim is to consider opportunities and challenges at both an organisational and industry level. The group maintains a specific focus on considering transformational change that meets organisational needs and the best interest of members through industry-wide discussion. The format allows attendees to share ideas and approaches that enable efficiency and increase overall innovation within the superannuation industry.
David Short Executive Partner - Advisory Services, Novigi
David is an experienced executive and has worked in both boutique and large consultancies as well as many corporate environments. He has built and run operational and business support teams with a strong focus on customer experience, analytics and insight.
At Novigi, David is responsible for leading and developing our advisory services, ensuring we are delivering effective and pragmatic business solutions and best in class advice to our clients.
Prior to joining Novigi, David was involved at an executive level with businesses across a number of sectors including banking, wealth management, telco and healthcare.
He has a Bachelor of Science in applied psychology and has used this background to successfully apply principles of human centred design and behaviour economics to the optimisation of sales, marketing and services experiences. With a past career in professional team sport he understands the importance of collaboration and combining of skills.
