Monday 11 September

For any registrations enquiries, including substitution options for each session, please contact ASFA Events

ASFA is proud to present the Adelaide Retirement Seminar Series to help you fully understand the entire retirement experience – from both a member and trustee perspective. These three sessions complement each other to provide practical and insightful discussion for both retirement product providers and those approaching retirement.

  • How much is enough to retire on?
  • How do you know that your members are retirement ready?
  • How well prepared are South Australians for retirement?

High profile speakers and thought leaders will present from a member, management and trustee perspective. You’ll hear from peak industry bodies, asset consultants and retirement-focussed academic researchers along with senior professionals working in the industry.

This insightful series bases its discussions on the acclaimed ASFA Retirement Standard, a benchmark for the annual budget required to fund either a comfortable or a modest standard of living in retirement. The first seminar will explain the ASFA Retirement Standard and dissect its research, findings, and discuss how representative it is of actual member outcomes and goals. The second seminar’s discussions will focus on retirement readiness, and look at some of the innovative ways funds are assessing if members are ready to retire. The final seminar analyses the ramifications of changing demographics as Australians are becoming healthier, wealthier, wiser, and consequently living longer. Find out what this means for South Australian members’ retirement and how funds can best adapt and cater for this new reality.

The Adelaide Retirement Seminar Series is an invaluable opportunity for funds and members to gain insight into all sides of the retirement process and work towards a more successful outcome for everyone.
