Senior Policy Advisor, AARP Public Policy Institute
Catherine Harvey is dedicated to restoring the link between hard work and financial security in today’s rapidly changing economy. As a senior policy advisor at the AARP Public Policy Institute, Catherine develops public policies and market solutions to help people weather financial challenges and achieve their goals.
Prior to joining AARP, Catherine managed the economic policy project at UnidosUS, formerly the National Council of La Raza—the nation’s largest Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organisation. She conducted policy analysis and led advocacy campaigns on labour market issues, budget and tax policy, and retirement security. In addition to several policy briefs, she authored a comprehensive study of the Hispanic workforce and a report on the California retirement savings program known as CalSavers.
Catherine holds a Masters in Policy Management from Georgetown University and a BA in International Relations and Spanish from the University of Delaware.
