Chief Procurement Officer, TelstraSuper
Paul Thomas is the Head of Procurement at TelstraSuper and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement and facilities management across the fund.
Paul joined TelstraSuper in 2017 as the company's first Head of Procurement and has since modernised the Outsourcing and Procurement Policy, outsourced print and mail room services, embedded a contract management platform including document workflow and automation, and implemented a Supplier Governance Framework. He has also managed office relocations for two interstate teams and has been a key driver in a new project to modernise the office space post pandemic so teams can be effective and efficient in their roles no matter where they are.
Paul brings over twenty years’ experience to the role across multiple sectors, such as defence, technology, renewables, and infrastructure, including with NBN Co and Melbourne Water, and is a big believer in relationship building, which he sees as an essential part of the end-to-end supplier process.
Paul has a Bachelor of Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Derby (UK) and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
