Chief Executive Officer, HESTA
As Chief Executive Officer of HESTA Debby Blakey leads the $76 billion industry super fund dedicated to creating positive outcomes for its more than one million members. She has over 25 years of experience in super and financial services and joined HESTA in 2008 as the Executive for Member Advice. She then became Deputy CEO before being appointed to her current position as CEO in 2015.
Debby is an experienced executive leader and the President of the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors, a Director of the Association of Superannuation Funds Australia and the Chair of its HR and Remuneration Committee. She is a Director of the International Corporate Governance Network.
She holds a Bachelor of Science with majors in Maths and Computer Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation and is a member and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
