J.W. Nevile Fellow in Economics at the Australian School of Business, UNSW and former Chief Economist, Austrade

Tim Harcourt is The Airport Economist—host of the program and author of the books—as well as the J.W. Nevile Fellow in Economics at the Australian School of Business at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).

Tim’s book The Airport Economist is a business bestseller and has been translated into several languages. His TV show of the same name is now in its third series.

In addition to being Adjunct Professor in International Business Strategy at the UNSW Australian School of Business, Tim is a prolific author, globetrotter and active media commentator. He appears regularly on TV and radio shows (including ABC Midday, Lateline, Sky News, Sunrise, and Bloomberg), and writes for a number of major publications (including The Australian Financial Review, The Sydney Morning Herald, and The Australian).

For over a decade, Tim was the first chief economist of the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade), and has been a research officer /advocate with the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU).

He was educated at the University of Adelaide, the University of Minnesota and Harvard University.
