Yes, if you fill in the ‘special requirements’ section when you register we’ll ensure special meals are prepared for you. Please ensure ASFA is notified of any special requirements at least four weeks before the Conference. You’ll be advised on site as to where to collect your meals.

Members of ASFA’s Accreditation program will receive up to 18 CPD points based on session attendance.

Registration cannot be purchased for multiple parties to share. Delegates must have their personalised name badge on display at all times. The Conference is a three-day experience and we don’t want you to miss any of it.

No. Delegates will need to make their own way to and from the airport to hotels and the Convention Centre. Here are some details on transport options:

Taxi

North Terrace is 7kms or 15 minutes’ drive from Adelaide Airport. A taxi fare to the city is approximately $25.00. There is a $2 levy added to fares for taxis leaving the airport.

Adelaide Metro Bus

Adelaide Metro Buses operate to/from the Adelaide Airport. It offers an express double decker bus service called JetExpress between the airport and the city. Adelaide Metro also offers a convenient JetBus service to Glenelg, West Beach and the City, servicing all stops en route. Both these services are Metroticket services. Single trip and daytrip tickets can be purchased from bus drivers. Shuttle bus

The Airport offers a door to door Airport City Shuttle Bus from Adelaide Airport to hotels and businesses. Bookings are not needed, just make your way to the information and tourism bookings booth and the staff will help you with your booking and inform you of shuttle times (approximately every 30 minutes).

City Shuttle Bus operating hours are as follows:

  • Monday – Friday from 8.00am – 9.00pm
  • Saturdays from 8.00am – 6.00pm.
  • Sundays from 8.00am – 5.00pm.

Conference dress code is business casual. We suggest you bring a jacket to all sessions for your comfort, as room temperatures may vary. Conference Dinner dress code for ladies: evening wear, for men: lounge suit (no tie).

Adelaide operates on Australian Central Daylight time (ACDT) which operates in a half an hour time zone. Adelaide, South Australia is 30 minutes behind Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).

All travellers to Australia (except Australian and New Zealand citizens) must have a valid visa before arriving in Australia.

To apply for a visa to attend the ASFA Conference:

  1. Register to attend the Conference. Conference registration is now open, register here. When you buy a ticket for the Conference, you will receive an acknowledgement letter that you can use with your visa application.
  2. Apply for a visa at the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.
  3. Use the Visa Finder to determine the right visa for you and follow the steps to apply for your visa.

At a minimum, you should apply for your visa six weeks before you intend on arriving in Australia.
