ASFA welcomes new shadow minister

ASFA – The Voice of Super welcomes the appointment of Senator Mathias Cormann as the Shadow Assistant Treasurer, Shadow Minister for Financial Services and Superannuation.

As a not-for-profit, politically-unaligned association, ASFA will continue to work with all stakeholders in the Federal Parliament including the Coalition with a view to developing best public policy.

“ASFA looks forward to meeting Senator Cormann to discuss ASFA’s stated policy objectives around adequacy and industry efficiency including the implementation of key recommendations of the Cooper Review, particularly SuperStream,” says ASFA CEO, Pauline Vamos.

“The Coalition has an opportunity to use this parliament to develop a comprehensive national retirement incomes policy. ASFA looks forward to working with the Opposition by providing it with in-depth evidence-based policy analysis and research.”

Ms Vamos paid tribute to the outgoing Shadow Superannuation Spokesperson Luke Hartsuyker. “We thank Mr Hartsuyker for consulting with the industry.”
