Superannuation professionals can now access a fully flexible online continuing professional development (CPD) solution, with the launch of a brand new product by the peak body for the superannuation industry.
The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) today officially launched SuperCPD, a quarterly multimedia subscription specially designed to keep those in the industry up-to-date with the latest superannuation changes, trends and industry thinking in an entertaining way, while meeting ongoing compliance obligations.
"I am thrilled to announce we have launched a new online CPD product that is completely flexible," said ASFA chief executive officer, Pauline Vamos.
"With the superannuation industry currently facing uncertain times with wide-ranging developments happening constantly, it's absolutely essential that industry professionals understand these developments and stay up-to-date.
"Organisational leaders can be sure their people are being kept up-to-date and are work ready for the next challenge the industry will have to face."
SuperCPD is delivered through the ASFA website and combines text and video with commentary from industry experts.
A new edition is launched every quarter, comprising at least six topics, each of which offers subscribers the opportunity to achieve one CPD point.
SuperCPD also provides online reporting with members having the ability to generate their own CPD reports and keep track of the development of their staff throughout the organisation, an excellent tool for compliance and HR managers.
"ASFA has been delivering CPD for nearly 50 years and we're now going to that next level," said Ms Vamos.
"I think the most important thing, particularly now when we're all so time poor, is that it's fully flexible and online so people can go straight to the quizzes or drill down in a specific topic area to really get that deep learning.
"So SuperCPD is about not only keeping up-to-date, but developing yourself for your next role and maintaining your RG 146 compliance."
Also designed to help those in the super industry progress their career is the recently launched ASFA Job Board; the first superannuation-specific job search engine.
Available through the ASFA website, the Job Board has been developed in partnership with Now Hiring to provide a one-stop shop for posting and locating position vacancies in the super industry.
