Subject equivalence
For students who have partially completed their Diploma of Financial Planning, the new ASFA Advice subjects include the same competencies as the subjects previously credited towards the Diploma of Financial Planning qualification. Any subjects already completed toward a Diploma of Financial Planning continue to be eligible for credit. You can complete your remaining subjects from the new ASFA Advice subjects.

Note that all existing cross-qualification credits remain available:
- Students who have completed RG146 Super Essentials and ASFA Insurance in their Diploma of Superannuation can complete their Diploma of Financial Planning with ASFA Advice 3 + ASFA Advice 4 and a Personal Advice Skills Assessment. ASFA Advice 1 and ASFA Advice 2 can also be credited towards the Diploma of Superannuation.
- ASFA Investment can be credited towards the Diploma of Financial Planning with the addition of a bridging module, Spreadsheets and Financial Mathematics for Financial Planners. ASFA Advice 3 can also be credited towards the Advanced Diploma of Superannuation.
