New seminar just announced – Perth, 14 May 2012
As the various components of the Government's superannuation reforms package commence, ASFA will hold a series of events to provide practical guidance on the implementation process. The first event will focus on implementation of the SuperStream data standards and Safer Super’s new payslip reporting requirements.
Following the overwhelming success of the event in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane over the past two weeks, ASFA is delighted to announce the event series is coming to Perth on Monday 14 May. The seminar will be held at the Pan Pacific Hotel, on the morning of the ASFA Perth Budget Briefing Luncheon.
The feedback from the previous seminars has been fantastic, with attendees finding the level of new information and updates within the sessions extremely valuable. Attendees also described the event as an excellent networking opportunity as they were given the chance to speak directly with executives.
At this half-day seminar, ASFA will host senior representatives from the ATO who will work through their suite of documents that set out the framework for the implementation of the data standards for contributions and rollovers. For those responsible and accountable for SuperStream implementation this is your first opportunity to see the full picture on standards and how they can be implemented by funds, employers, clearing houses and payrolls.
ASFA is delighted to host senior representatives from the ATO who will work through documents which set out:
- The SuperStream Service Model
- Message Implementation Guides
- SuperStream Web Services Implementation Guide (transport and security protocols)
- Error Response Repositories
- Schematron Files and test script/ health check guide.
The event will also explain:
- The legislative framework for the Standards
- The supporting Data and Payment Regulations
- The compliance/conformance framework to be implemented by APRA and the ATO and which must be fully understood by those required to use the standards.
The ATO expects to formally release these documents during April. For those responsible and accountable for SuperStream implementation this is your first opportunity to see the full picture on standards, to understand their industry context and how they can be implemented by funds, employers, clearing houses and payrolls and to understand the compliance framework and the implications for how data is to be captured and reported.
