ASFA and ESSSuper also congratulate the two other finalists:

ASFA is firmly committed to fostering the growth of young professionals in the Australian superannuation industry. One of the ways we will provide for this is through the newly launched Don Kofoed Memorial Young Super Scholarship Award, sponsored by ESSSuper.
ESSSuper has provided this support to ASFA recognising ASFA’s status as the pre-eminent association for the Australian superannuation industry and the importance in supporting and nurturing the development of future superannuation leaders.
Don Kofoed was the Chief Executive Officer at ESSSuper, the dedicated super fund for Victorian emergency services and State Government employees. Don was committed to the professional development of all employees, and had a specific interest in ensuring that young talent were provided with the support and opportunities to reach their potential. He was a mentor to a number of young professionals and his commitment and work has helped build high calibre employees within the organisations in which he worked.
ESSSuper is pleased to be able to offer this scholarship in memory of Don Kofoed.
As part of application process, nominees are required to submit a “BRIGHT IDEA”, in the form of a 1,000 word paper, on how we can build a better future for super and everyone involved. Applicants must choose from one of five topics on which to base this paper.
