Corporate Superannuation Funds
A superannuation fund established for the benefit of employees of a particular company or group of companies, or group of employers. (A corporate fund member may be the policy committee of a corporate master trust.) |
Industry Superannuation Funds
These are multi-employer superannuation funds. An industry fund may cover a specific industry or a range of industries, either nationally or within a state. Industry funds generally have trustees appointed by trade unions and employer associations. Some industry funds are public offer funds. |
Public Sector Superannuation Funds
These are superannuation funds (often referred to as a 'scheme') which provide benefits for federal, state, territory or local Government employees. |
Retail Superannuation Funds
These funds include commercially promoted public offer funds and master trusts. Wholesale arrangements can sometimes be negotiated by employers. |
Service providers
These are persons or organisations performing one or more functions relating to a fund, sometimes under an agreement with the trustee of the fund. Service providers include administrators, investment managers, custodians, legal advisors and accountants. |
