ASFA Board
The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia is a not for profit, public, unlisted Company limited by guarantee. ASFA is a member-based organisation governed by a Constitution and a Board of Directors.
The Board comprises 10 members, elected from and by the various membership categories of ASFA (excluding individual members). The Chief Executive and Company Secretary of the Secretariat also attend Board meetings.
The Board has three standing committees: Policy, Finance and Risk, and Member Services. Each of these committees can, in turn, create standing or ad hoc committees for particular tasks.
The Board operates under a Charter and a Code of Conduct and is subject to best practice corporate governance.
