ASFA RG146 Education
Compliance with ASIC Regulatory Guide 146 (RG146)
Advisers providing financial product advice are required to demonstrate their competency under ASIC Regulatory Guide 146, known as RG146.
There are two levels of advice under RG146 — general and personal.
To provide general advice, advisers must complete training in generic knowledge and the relevant knowledge specialty.
To provide personal advice, advisers must also demonstrate the skills to match clients’ needs to specific investments/risk cover and strategies.
