WHY BE A MEMBER OF ASFA?

Founded in 1962, ASFA is the only peak body to truly represent all aspects of our industry. ASFA’s greatest resource, in fact, is its breadth of membership. We are very proud that some of our foundation members are still with us today.

ASFA membership encompasses Corporate, Industry, Public Sector and Retail Funds as well as specialist Service Providers and Individual Members.

We develop our policy platform, regarded as measured and balanced, through a combination of experienced staff working alongside our members through such vehicles as State executives and Policy Committees. ASFA is consultative, working to drive desired outcomes, to ensure that the industry’s professional development is assured and to strategise solutions to key issues.

This partnership and engagement with our members, honed over more than 40 years, assists in the continued robustness and integrity of a superannuation industry that enjoys a high level of confidence from the Australian public.

ASFA offers LEADERSHIP on industry positions, issues, learning and development. Our ADVOCACY drives outcomes for our members and for the Australian public. We pride ourselves on our RESPONSIVENESS to be able to anticipate the demands of a continually growing and developing industry through targeted policy and the development of specialised resources, particularly in learning and development, and as such, we position ourselves to deliver optimal RESULTS.

By engaging and consulting with our members, ASFA has fostered a united presence to government, regulators, financial industry stakeholders and the Australian public.
