collective agreement

an agreement which may be made between an employer and their employees or with one or more trade unions. The term collective agreement replaces certified agreement as these agreements are no longer to be certified by the Australian Industrial Relations commission but rather lodged with the Workplace Authority.

From 1 July 2009, collective agreements are called enterprise agreements and these are lodged with Fair Work Australia.
