rollover fund
Definition
a fund which can accept eligible termination payments (ETPs) and which is eligible for the same concessional tax treatment as a superannuation fund. Rollover funds were created to provide a place within the superannuation system for superannuation benefits of people who retired early or changed jobs. Non preserved amounts in a rollover fund can be withdrawn at any time. Rollover funds include approved deposit funds (ADFs), deferred annuities (DAs) and immediate annuities.

From 1 July 2007 a superannuation fund may only receive an employment termination payment in limited circumstances.
