ASFA Board of Directors
The Board comprises ten members, elected from and by the various membership categories of ASFA (excluding individual members). The Chief Executive and Company Secretary of the Secretariat also attend Board meetings.
The Board has three standing committees: Policy, Administration and Finance and Member Services. Each of these committees can, in turn, create standing or ad hoc committees for particular tasks.
These committees are composed of ASFA members who have particular interest and expertise in the task at hand - the Policy Committee, for example, has specialist sub-committees made up of expert members from all industry sectors. The Member Services Committee has specialist committees related to education, the ASFA accreditation program and Superfunds magazine.
The Board operates under a Charter and a Code of Conduct and is subject to best practice corporate governance .
