About ASFA
The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) is a national, not for profit, non-party political organisation that represents the interests of Australia’s superannuation funds, their trustees and their members.
ASFA’s membership covers industry, corporate, public sector and retail funds as well as service providers and individual members. Our membership collectively represent approximately 80 percent of members holding superannuation accounts and about 80 percent of total Australian superannuation assets.
ASFA’s mission is to advance effective retirement outcomes for members of funds through research and advocacy.

ASFA LEARNING
ASFA leads the superannuation industry in developing specialist education and training opportunities.
As a registered training organisation, ASFA has recently launched a new suite of qualifications to enhance the industry's leading learning experience.
ASFA Learning can offer new qualifications that:
- are more relevant for the industry
- reflect new industry specialisation
- better reflect career pathways
ASFA offers a number of different learning and education platforms including face to face, online and distance education to suit all learning styles and can also tailor specific programs for individual organisations. ASFA has also delivered specialised training courses internationally including; Tonga, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand.

1. ASFA Accreditation Program
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a career-long approach to planning, maintaining and developing knowledge and skills. 2. ASFA Accredited Investment Fiduciary (ASFA AIF®)
ASFA AIF® offers a course with the mission of promoting a culture of fiduciary excellence and principle-based leadership to improve the decision-making process of investment fiduciaries.
ASFA AIF® provides you with the skills and knowledge on how to discharge a trustee’s ‘investment governance’ responsibilities. The course content examines the global standards of best practice enabling you to critically asses your current governance against defined criteria.
The course attracts 12 CPD points for members of the ASFA Professional Accreditation Program and will be tailored specifically to the Hong Kong pensions system. To find out more, contact ASFA Learning.
3. Super CPD
An online bi-monthly module utilising policy and event content to provide senior staff with a valuable up to the minute download on what they need to know to stay abreast of changes within the industry.

ASFA NATIONAL CONFERENCE AND SUPER EXPO
The annual ASFA National Conference and Super Expo is renowned as the largest superannuation industry event staged in the Asia-Pacific region. Attracting over 1,800 participants, the conference comprises an educational program that spans three days and includes an array of speakers, topics, networking opportunities and enhanced learning experiences. The conference program also attracts 18 CPD points for members of the ASFA Accreditation Program.
The National Conference is held in conjunction with the Super Expo, where over 50 companies showcase their latest products and services under one roof.
This year we’ll be ‘making the BIG connection’ through the combined talents and insights of the leading minds from Australia and around the world, in Brisbane from 9-11 November, 2011.
