Concurrent sessions

This year’s conference program will feature 25 concurrent sessions focussing on five overarching themes; competition, stronger super, retirement outcomes, risk and investment. Included in the 25 concurrent sessions are three participation roundtable forums. These forums will provide delegates with the opportunity to discuss specific topics relating to particular interests in an intimate and open environment.

Trustee focus – a number of sessions which have a trustee focus have been flagged in the conference program. These sessions are open to all delegates to attend but are particularly targeted to trustees.
Investment fiduciary – a number of sessions which have an investment fiduciary focus have been flagged in the conference program. These sessions are open to all delegates to attend but are particularly targeted around investment.

2D	Branching Out – Let's give the post retirement tree a good shake

Concurrent 3 – Thursday, 10 November 2.05pm – 3.15pm
3A	Members and retirement – what do they want, need and choose?
3B	Are free markets doomed to be forever blowing bubbles?
3C	How will life insurance evolve over the next 5 to 10 years post Stronger Super?
3D	Stop looking over the fence at our neighbours’ investment returns
3E	Jump aboard the after tax reporting train before it runs you over

Concurrent 4 – Thursday, 10 November 4.05pm – 5.15pm
4A	Dare to be different – thinking outside the standard investment cube
4B	The role of employers and how to win them over
4C	The changing face of payments – the opportunities from SuperStream
4D	What fund members think about super funds and more importantly, what are they doing about their super?
4E	DB assets down, liabilities and longevity up! Are you having the right conversations with your actuary?

Concurrent 5 – Friday, 11 November 10.55am – 12.05pm
5A	Global super environment – where does Australia fit in?
5B	Sleepers Beware – are you ready for a $5 trillion industry?
5C	Removing the Australian bias
5D	The truth about SMSFs – sorting myths from reality!
